Brabus announces a series of power diesel special editions

While everyone is getting ready for the start of the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, Brabus has just announced a series of Power Diesel Special Editions. These models are based on the diesel versions of Mercedes E-Class , ML-Class , GL-Class and CLS Shooting Brake .

All models will be equipped with a Brabus D6S Power Diesel engine that delivers a total of 690 NM (509 lb-ft) and, depending on the model, an output of up to 313 HP. The E350 CDI Power Diesel Coupe is priced at €58534 (roughly $75800 at the current exchange rates) and the CLS 350 CDI Power Diesel is priced at €68879 ($89100). Both models deliver an output of 313 horsepower and will sprint from 0 - 100 kmh (0 - 62 mph) in just 5.9 seconds. Along with the power increase, the two models will each receive a stainless steel sport exhaust system and a set of 19 inch Monoblock F wheels combined with a set of sport springs. The CLS also gets a ride height lowering module and an elegant exterior design developed in cooperation with Bottrop.

The ML 350 CDI Power Diesel is priced at €71121 ($92000) and the GL 350 CDI Power Diesel comes in at €81810 ($105900), and both models pump 310 ponies from their engines. The tuner is also tossing in a stainless steel sport exhaust system with two tailpipes, and a set of Monoblock wheels sized 20 inches and 22 inches for the two SUVs. For an extra €3448 ($4400) Brabus is also offering an exterior upgrade kit.

BRABUS POWER DIESEL. That is the label BRABUS has given to a special edition of exclusively equipped, immensely powerful and eco-friendly BRABUS automobiles that are available now.

All BRABUS POWER DIESEL models are built in small-series production based on the latest Mercedes-Benz 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY models and already the basic versions come with an extensive equipment package that includes a leather interior, the COMAND multimedia system with voice control and other advanced features as well as an exclusive BRABUS custom equipment package. The common denominator in each case is a BRABUS D6S POWER DIESEL engine with a peak torque of 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) and – depending on the model – a rated power output of up to313 HP (308 bhp).

Buyers of a BRABUS POWER DIESEL can also add custom BRABUS options such as e.g. special paintwork etc.

BRABUS E 350 CDI POWER DIESEL Coupe

The two-door BRABUS POWER DIESEL is available in two versions with or without BRABUS aerodynamic-enhancement kit at a starting price of 53879 euros. The BRABUS D6S POWER DIESEL engine produces 313 HP (308 bhp) of power and a peak torque of 690 Nm (509 lb-ft), on tap from a low 1600 rpm. Powered by this engine the coupe sprints from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.9 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). The included BRABUS stainless-steel quad sport exhaust system provides the fitting acoustic accompaniment. In tandem with the BRABUS sport springs the Monoblock F wheels with a diameter of 19 inches give the car further improved handling. The POWER DIESEL Coupé in version 2 with full BRABUS body styling kit sells for 58534 euros.

BRABUS CLS 350 CDI POWER DIESEL Shooting Brake

BRABUS also offers a POWER DIESEL special model with a power output of 313 HP (308 bhp) based on the new Mercedes CLS 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY Shooting Brake. This designer wagon too offers competitive performance with a sprint time of 5.9 seconds for 0 - 100 km/h (62 mph) and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). In addition to the extensive equipment package, the total price of 68879 euros also includes exclusive BRABUS components such as Monoblock F 19 inch cross-spoke wheels, ride height lowering and a stainless steel sport exhaust. For a price of 75776 euros the BRABUS POWER DIESEL is available as a version 2 with sporty-elegant exterior design in the distinctive style of the refinement specialist from Bottrop.

BRABUS ML 350 CDI POWER DIESEL

The BRABUS POWER DIESEL based on the Mercedes ML 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY sells for just 71121 euros. The exclusive equipment lineup includes bi-xenon headlights, the COMAND system, automatic climate control, leather upholstery, panoramic roof, backup camera and many more details.

With a power output of 309 HP (304 bhp) and a peak torque of 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) this turbodiesel model bridges the gap that resulted from dispensing with a V8 diesel engine in the M-Class. Running on BRABUS Monoblock R 20 inch wheels, the all wheel drive car with BRABUS D6S POWER DIESEL engine takes just 6.0 seconds for the sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph) and reaches a top speed of 229 km/h (142 mph). A lowering module for the standard specification air suspension is also part of the BRABUS equipment as are the stainless steel quad sport exhaust system and interior features such as scuff plates with backlit BRABUS logo, high quality velour floor mats and aluminum pedals and door lock pins. The BRABUS POWER DIESEL version 2 with BRABUS exterior design is available for an additional 3448 euros.

BRABUS GL 350 CDI POWER DIESEL

Brabus Announces a Series of Power Diesel Special Editions
The BRABUS POWER DIESEL based on the GL 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY also offers power normally reserved for a V8 engine. Thanks to the BRABUS D6S POWER DIESEL engine, a whopping 310 POWER DIESEL HP (306 bhp) and an enormous peak torque of 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) propel this car to superior performance, with a top speed of 225 km/h (140 mph). Included in the price of 81810 euros are the stainless steel sport exhaust system with two tailpipes, BRABUS Monoblock Q 10Jx22 king size wheels, a ride height lowering and custom interior features such as BRABUS aluminum shift paddles on the steering wheel.
