Car safety, steel vs. modern engineering!

Some people are ignoring the fact that in modern cars the structure is cleverly designed and manufactured with light and heavy weight materials combined, depending on where which is needed. The body nowdays isn't as rigid as the 80-90's cars, because composite materials are in use and the bracing of the car is "hidden" under the structure. It means that the impact is handled by the crumple zones, sub-frame and other precisely engineered parts instead of the body. To demonstrate what I'm talking about, I've chose an 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air vs. 2009 Chevrolet Malibu and a Renault Modus vs. Volvo 940 head-on crash test; the results might surprise you!
