The world’s ever-growing new car graveyards

Many of the world’s car manufactures are scared of the constantly expanding recession facing the world.  If they stop producing vehicles a crippling domino effect would happen.  If the manufactures stop building cars they would have to lay off employees and close plants.  That then directly forces auto parts manufactures to slow or stop their production of parts and accessories down significantly or possibly completely.  Then a lay off and plant closures will happen as well.  Metal producers will also feel the force of this effect as well.  If cars are not being built metal used in said manufacturing will not be in demand.  Tire, glass, cloth and leather.  With all of these suppliers being negatively effected by the slowing or canceling of new car orders there is only one thing that could happen…world wide accelerated economic decay.

So, what is the solution?  Its simple enough to the auto makers.  Keep building and don’t slow down.  But if people aren’t buying all of these car where are they going?  Giant new vehicle graveyards all of the world are popping up.  Some with a few hundred to some in the tens of thousands.  These autos sit and wait for their fates to be decided.  Many of these vehicles will sit for two or more years.  After that time they cannot be sold as new because the manufactures are releasing new models making the units that have already been built obsolete.
