This strategic agreement was established between Saab's brand and factory holder NEVS (National Electric Vehicle Sweeden) and Dongfeng company; it will contain technological developments in the field, global sourcing and distribution and they will work together within the framework of cooperation for the companies.
Because of commonly developed components, the NEVS's costs will be reduced and it's production will be increased. In return the engineers will give their best knowledge about environmentally friendly vehicles, helping Dongfeng in this domain. It was also mentioned in the contract that Dongfeng will help Saab models development for the European and North American markets.
An interesting fact is that Dongfend made a similar contract with PSA and it has nothing else to offer Saab, except the Peugeot - Citroen parts. The developers didn't exactly specified the content of their cooperation, so nobody knows what is this agreement standing for.
