This engine is in production since 2008, but it's risky to buy up to 2012. Engine code: N63B44. Models: BMW 750i/Li, BMW X5/X6 50i, BMW X6 ActiveHybrid, BMW 550i (and Gran Turismo), BMW 650i (coupe, cabrio). Problems: it's weakest point is the cooling system, which is only getting worse by the exhaust and two turbochargers which are mounted inside the cylinder bank. Hotspots are appearing in the heat shield and there the oil starts to burn. This problem combined with the turbochargers water cooling malfunction leads to the compressor wheels dirtiness and because of the too much heat generated + the water cooling problem, the hot turbochargers are sealing the two cylinder heads. If it happens, it will also damage the camshafts and the variable cam timing!
