Choose wisely! Saab Turbo

This series of turbo petrol engines was in production between 1997-2010. Engine codes: B205E, B205L, B205R, B235E, B235L, B235R. Models: Saab 9-3 2.0 Turbo & 2.3 Turbo (1999-2003), Saab 9-5 2.0 & Turbo a 2.3 Turbo (from 1997). Problems: the main problem is the block's mechanical instability; the front side of the engine's block is overheating, the turbocharger's heat isolation is bad quality and because of these the bearings from the crankshaft can move and from this point the crankshaft will seize. Frequent oil changes are obligatory! The timing chain must be replaced after 200000+ km (124274+ miles) and after the bankruptcy of the brand the supply of the parts can be problematic.
